The sale of the family home went through yesterday. So now it�s over. I did manage to get back there to have one last walk-through in July, albeit under the sadest of circumstances. It was cold and empty, familiar but changed. The Sherpa was with me, and as he commented, it was a place full of ghosts. I don�t know if not being able to go back there lays them to rest, or whether it means I have simply locked that door.
