My home life is unsatisfying.

Imagine this Im dating someone who has not seen a single teen angst film from the 1980s. Not one. He has no idea how deeply (self-obsessed, self-indulgent) satisfying teen flicks were then, compared to the sequel-driven, quasi-horror crap served up to youngsters these days.

So, if one were to arrange a little 80s film festival to bridge this cinematic gap, the programme would look a lot like this:

Sixteen Candles
The Breakfast Club
Pretty in Pink
Some Kind of Wonderful
St Elmo's Fire

Then, for a little comic relief, or maybe interspersed with the above:
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Heathers*
Pump Up The Volume

Have I missed anything?

(*oh, I lie, he has seen Heathers)
